A LOGANLEA businesswoman believes she has come up with a right royal flush. Tomorrow, 25-year-old Kathryn Lyons will explain her Toileting with Dignity concept to The Duke of York, Prince Andrew.

And her pitch could take her all the way to London’s St James’s Palace if the Duke warms to her idea which helps disabled people go to the loo with minimal fuss.

The Duke founded Pitch@Palace in 2014 to give entrepreneurs exposure to wider markets. Ms Lyons has overcome major barriers after a complex medical disability left her bedbound for nearly six years and in a wheelchair.

“As a young entrepreneur, I am so excited to have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share my inclusive solutions with Prince Andrew,” she said.

“One in four people are unable to toilet safely and with dignity. I want inclusion, not just for me but for everyone.” Her company, accessibili-t is working with QUT to patent her idea, scheduled for release next year.
