All eight candidates have said they have never been issued a Domestic Violence Order or an apprehended violence order.
All said “no” to the question have you ever been charged with a criminal offence – including domestic violence and child abuse offences.
One candidate explained that his name was listed at a magistrates court in November but for a family-related matter.
Seven of the eight candidates answered questions on the weekend at a forum organised by the Liberal Democrats Queensland at Monte Ale House, Slacks Creek.
The event was free and open to the public.
All outlined their visions for the future of Logan.
The atmosphere was casual, but became more spirited after a few pints of the venue’s bushfire relief Charity Keg.
Concerns were raised about council corruption, border restructures, compulsory land acquisition, and party affiliations.
