Mystery tour after Mabel Park State High Golden Ball

WHAT: Mabel Park State High School Formal – The Golden Ball 2020 – Formal Dinner and Dancing

WHERE: Grand Ballroom, Hotel Grand Chancellor

WHEN: Wednesday Night, 18th November 6.00pm – 11.00pm

WHY: To celebrate the culmination of 12 years of schooling for the Senior Class of 2020

AFTER THE FORMAL: The night continued after the formal with students alighting on a Mystery Tour all-night bus ride with special treats including fun activities, food and a trip away. The Magical Mystery Tour has been part of the school formal procedures every year for more than a decade.

Special activities have been planned to keep the students active and safe all night until breakfast in the morning rather than them attending after-formal parties.

There were pre-booked activities the students attended at venues between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

They remained unaware of the destinations until they arrived at each venue.

This has proven very popular in the past.

Homestay and International Student Program Coordinator Jennifer Black said this year had been different with COVID restrictions but there had been a lot of excitement before the evening.
