Motorcyclist dead after serious crash at Bumstead Rd, Crestmead

Separate crashes at Logan late on Thursday have left a man dead and a woman in a critical condition.

A man has died after a crash at Crestmead.

A man is dead and a woman in a critical condition in separate crashes at Logan late on Thursday.

The 34-year-old Crestmead man died after his motorcycle collided with a car at the intersection of Bumstead Rd and Geaney Boulevard, Crestmead, about 4pm

Paramedics assessed the rider at the scene, but he died shortly after.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Bumstead Rd was closed in both directions between Wisdom Way and Julie St, with drivers urged to avoid the area.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.

And a woman was reportedly in a critical condition after she was hit by a car on Browns Plains Rd, Marsden, about 7.15pm.

Paramedics were on the scene and the road was closed westbound from Second Ave, with diversions in place through Third Ave and Trulson Drive.

A woman in her 30s was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital with significant trauma in a critical condition.
