Logan road death toll: Mum dies leaving two-year-old orphaned

The letter was signed “Mummy” with hand-drawn hearts.

Parts of the message had started to blur after this morning’s downpours.

Mourners from the suburb also paid their respects, placing posies of flowers at the corner.

One resident, who did not want to be named, said Castile Crescent was a trouble spot and Lima St was a notorious spot for rat running and had a dangerous hilltop crescent with a street mirror.

The resident said Mr Brosig had just left a friend’s house in Bethania when the accident happened.

The Forensic Crash Unit was investigating the accident and initial reports said the motorcyclist was unconscious when paramedics arrived on the scene.

The 29-year-old male driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.

The tragedy brings the state’s road toll to 205 for this year compared to 172 at the same time last year.

It followed two men dying at the Aldi turnoff at Bethania in June after a collision and a woman dying on Camp Cable Rd this month. Logan’s road toll now stands at 11.
