THE man accused of murdering a Beachmere father-of-two will remain behind bars after his lawyer requested a police brief of evidence today.
Michael Bruce Olive, 45, is charged with stabbing Steven Kyle Fyfe, 32, about 8.15pm on Wednesday at a Waterford West unit complex.
Mr Fyfe was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital, where he died later that evening.
Olive appeared again in Beenleigh Magistrates Court today, where the charge of murder was officially added to the charge of acts intended to maim.
The case has been adjourned to August 5.
Tributes poured for Mr Fyfe yesterday. Wife Carly said he was her “soulmate”, while sister Tamara Hunter said her little brother was the “best” anyone could ask for.
