An unsuspecting homeowner was stabbed with a Stanley knife several times while she was in the shower during a terrifying home invasion, a Logan court has heard.
The details emerged after Slacks Creek woman Maureen Blair, 33, appeared in Beenleigh District Court on December 2, 2022 for breaching the suspended sentence she had earlier received for the stabbing.
Blair was first sentenced on February 28, 2019 for burglary in company with violence.
The court heard she broke into the woman’s home while she was in the shower.
When confronted by the woman, she stabbed her several times with the knife.
Blair was sentenced to four years in prison, wholly suspended, after serving 560 days in pre-sentence custody.
Blair then appeared again in Beenleigh District Court on September 3, 2020 when she was sentenced for assault occasioning bodily harm (domestic violence offence).
The court heard she threw tin cans at her partner’s head and was found to have breached her original 2019 suspended prison sentence.
Blair appeared before the court again on November 12, 2021 and pleaded guilty to failure to appear and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
On December 2, 2022, Judge Craig Chowdhury warned Blair not to breach the suspended sentence again.
“I hope you do not come back with another breach,” he said.
Blair was released on immediate parole with strict conditions.
