A man has been charged after an alleged stabbing in a road rage incident on a suburban street south of Brisbane.
A 25-year-old man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital after he received two stab wounds to the chest, one to the stomach and a cut to his left arm following an altercation with another man on Edenlea Dr, Meadowbrook around 6.40pm.
The two men, who are not known to each other, were both travelling in cars along Edenlea Dr before an argument at the intersection of Loganlea Rd when the 25-year-old exited his white Hyundai Getz and approached a 21-year-old man, driving a white Mitsubishi Lancer.
The Mitsubishi driver then allegedly opened his car door and struck the 25-year-old.
The 21-year-old driver allegedly fled the scene before attending the Logan Police Station a short time later, where he was charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
One resident, who witnessed the altercation, said it was “scary”.
Another said one man started punching the car window of the other driver before opening his car window.
Both men then started fighting in the street.
The man who was stabbed isn’t believed to be a resident of the street, then got back in his car and sped off followed closely by the other man who also took off in his car.
“It was a scary night’” the resident said.
Police closed a small portion of the street after declaring it a crime scene at 8.07pm with units still on the scene.
