A MAN has presented himself at Logan Hospital with a gunshot wound in his back in the early hours of this morning.

A MAN will undergo surgery this morning to remove a bullet from his back after he was shot in Logan overnight.

Police say the 33-year-old man presented himself to the Logan Hospital about 1.20am with a gunshot wound to his lower back.

The location of the shooting is unknown, but police say their investigation has led them to a vehicle in Atkinson St at Slacks Creek.

It is believed the man’s injuries are not life-threatening and he is in a stable condition in the Logan Hospital emergency department.
