A 15-year-old Logan boy is undergoing urgent brain surgery after falling from an e-scooter south of Brisbane this morning.
Paramedics treated the teen for life-threatening head injuries following the incident on McKinnon Drive at Yarrabilba in Logan around 8.30am.
He was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in a critical condition and later moved to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for the surgery.
Police have confirmed the boy was travelling on a footpath near Yarrabilba State Secondary College.
According to police the boy was travelling at about 20kmh when he lost control and fell from the scooter.
