SUSPENDED Logan mayor Luke Smith has had his assault case adjourned in court this morning.
Magistrate Brian Kilmartin adjourned the case until October 9 in Beenleigh Magistrates Court.
No orders were given and Smith’s bail was extended.
Smith was charged on July 20 with assault, wilful damage and obstructing police after being arrested at a Meadowbrook address.
Under the bail conditions he has to present to the police station twice a week.
This morning’s hearing was in a closed court due to the nature of the charges.
