A Loganlea man is facing baby blues of a different kind after he was allegedly behind the wheel during a baby gender reveal.
Police appealed for the public’s help to identify the driver of a red Holden Commodore VP last month.
It is alleged officers obtained dashcam footage of blue smoke billowing into the air during the stunt at Marsden on September 11.
It is alleged the vision shows a ‘burnout’ on Burrinjuck Street and then Timberlee Drive, creating excessive noise and blue smoke which obstructed the visibility of other motorists.
It is understood there was a group of people gathered nearby taking photos and videos.
A 29-year-old man has been charged dangerous operation of a vehicle and fail to comply with notice (failed to nominate driver) under the provisions of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act.
He is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on December 1.

Gender reveals often use blue coloured streamers, cakes, balloons, dyes – and obviously smoke – to indicate if a family is expecting a boy, and pink if a baby girl is on the way.
