Logan teen Levi Walsh dies, sister Trinity in hospital after dirt bike crash

A Logan family is rallying around a teen who survived a crash on a dirt bike yesterday which killed her brother. The devastated family are from Chinchilla and have links to Toowoomba.

A Logan family is rallying around a teen who survived a crash on a dirt bike yesterday which killed her brother.

Trinity Walsh, 16, is having surgery today in Princess Alexandra Hospital after her brother Levi, 17, succumbed to his injuries overnight.

Trinity Walsh will undergo surgery today after her brother Levi died early this morning.

Levi was driving a dirt bike with Trinity on the back when it clipped the kerb, throwing him into a pole on the roadside.

Trinity was in a stable condition this morning, suffering broken bones and will undergo surgery today.

Paramedics arrived at the scene on Sirius St, Kingston, just after 4.30pm and revived Levi a number of times before he was taken to hospital, where his life support was turned off just after 3.30am.

His parents Trish and James, both from Chinchilla, were at his side along with four siblings and his girlfriend, Jezza.

Friends said the former Chinchilla State High School student was well liked and a popular sportsman.

The family has nine children and friends said they were concerned about funeral costs.

Police said the helmet Trinity was wearing saved her life.

The pair was going for a ride around the neighbourhood on the bike.

His father paid tribute posting photos of his son.

Mr Walsh said Levi would be taken to Toowoomba for burial after a coroner’s report.

Mum Trish said her son was a quiet lad, always respectful and loved by all.
