A Logan mum, her son and their dog have escaped from a crumpled car after they were rear-ended and pushed into the back of another car yesterday afternoon (September 11) on Millstream Rd in Crestmead.
“It was horrifying,” she said.
“It’s something no one should have to go through, especially with their kids and animals on board.”
Their dog, Lucky, was in the boot of the car when the crash happened.
“My golden retriever was in the very back and amazingly wasn't injured,” she said.
“So lucky. I don't know how she’s not hurt, absolutely amazing.”
After the crash neighbours and motorists stopped to help.
“I am lucky to walk away from it,” she said.
The mum thanked the Logan community for their support.
“Huge thank you to anyone that stopped to help and the kind people that lived nearby that helped with my dogs and kept my son calm while I was in shock,” she wrote.
“Some amazing, kind people still in the world.”
She has pleaded with all road users to stay alert, drive to the speed limit and remain off their phones while driving.
“I would encourage all drivers to pay more attention and stay focused when on the road so these things can be prevented,” she said.
