A Logan man, accused of stabbing his flatmate earlier this year, has faced court on charges of attempted murder, possession of dangerous drugs and applying to have his community service order revoked.

Beenleigh resident, Jason John Wilson, 54, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday, November 30, on charges of attempted murder and possession of dangerous drugs, as well as applying to revoke a community service order.

It was alleged that Mr Wilson stabbed his 48-year-old flatmate, Richard Walter Hollaway, in the chest during an argument at a unit block at George St, Beenleigh, about 6.40pm on Friday, April 29.

Mr Wilson’s lawyer, Jason Voight, said he expected his client to remain in jail for some time, if found guilty.

“He’s going to be there for many, many years your honour,” Mr Voight said.

“He’s in there in attempted murder charges.”

Magistrate Michael O’Driscoll adjourned the matter of drug possession and application to revoke the community service order.

Mr Wilson will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 17 on those charges.

He will also appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 18 for the attempt to murder charge.

He was remanded in custody and no application for bail was made.
