A doctor has fronted court after being charged with sexually assaulting two women who were receiving treatment in Logan.

A 42-year- old man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with six counts of sexual assault.

Police will allege that the doctor unlawfully and indecently assaulted two women on separate occasions while working at a medical practice in 2020.

It is alleged the doctor assaulted one of the women four times, once on November 28, 2020, and the three other assaults allegedly happened on an unknown date between August 1-November 25, 2020.

The other female patient was allegedly assaulted twice on April 6, 2020.

During his brief appearance in court on Wednesday, the doctor’s lawyer told the court there was a draft order for the cross-examination of three witnesses.

The matters were adjourned for a further mention on March 2 to determine the witnesses availability.
