Logan boxer Reagan Dessaix has defended his WBA Oceania title against arguably his biggest opponent to date.

The Springwood personal trainer beat Steve Lovett at the Seagulls Club, Tweed Heads, on Saturday.

“I got the win with a clean round two KO,’’ Dessaix said.

“I am honestly lost for words and still can’t believe the result — as well as the rest of Australia’s boxing community.

“Everyone was expecting it to be a 50-50 fight that could go either way.

“So the KO result sure sent a message out.’’

Dessaix said victory was “such an amazing feeling’’.
