ONE of Queensland’s best-known resorts has closed its doors in a bid to stem the spread of coronavirus.
Kooralbyn Resort closed its doors this morning citing the Federal Government’s new precautionary measures of isolating people and limiting the number of people at indoor and outdoor gatherings and events.

The golf course will stay open and is implementing new safety measures to keep golfers safe.
Those measures include one golf cart for each person as well as free golf cart upgrades.
The resort’s reception will remain open from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday for future bookings for all services, accommodation, weddings and packages.
Owner Peter Huang said the resort would reopen as soon as the government lifted all bans.
Mr Huang, a property developer who bought the embattled resort in 2017, said he was offering free cancellations.
“The government, as a response to COVID-19, has initiated policies that do not allow us to continue our business in its current format,” he said.
“These measures have left us with no alternative but to close the resort until further notice.
“As the Scenic Rim’s biggest accommodation provider and Kooralbyn’s biggest employer, we really appreciate your ongoing support.
“We will keep people updated but in the meantime, we wish everyone all the best in this testing time but we know that as long as we support each other and stand as one, we will get through it.”
