Family and friends share touching tributes to motorcycle crash victim Adam Otto

Family and friends have shared touching tributes to the much loved Logan dad-of-three who died in a motorcycle crash south of Brisbane on his birthday.

A community, family and friends have been left devastated by the shock loss of a much loved dad of three who died on his birthday in a tragic motorcycle crash.

Adam Otto died after the motorcycle he was riding clipped a traffic island and crashed at Johnson Rd, Hillcrest at about 1.30am on January 26.

Police are investigating if Mr Otto suffered a medical episode before the crash.

Mr Otto had a passion for motorcycle riding and had only purchased his bike in July 2021.

He took to Facebook to share the news of his new ride with his friends: “a long time coming ... my Mrs finally gave in and let me get it.” he wrote.

Friends and family have shared heartbreaking tributes to the much loved dad of three on a day when they should have been celebrating Mr Otto’s 33th birthday.

One friend, said on social media they had been waiting for him to respond to their happy birthday messages.

“Heartbroken doesn’t even sum up the way we are feeling,” the friend shared.

“It is so hard to process that you’ve grown your wings and left us.

“It feels surreal.

“We all jumped on to wish you a happy birthday for today and waited for your response... but your response never came. Instead we got the news we never wanted to hear.

“We will love and miss you forever.”

Mr Otto, a proud Polynesian ran a retail business selling clothing and vinyl stickers to celebrate his heritage – Uso For Life. Together with his wife he also ran a bakery Otto’s Delights, selling beautiful handmade cakes and doughnuts.

A long time friend Ricky Constable was devastated by the shock loss.

“My longest mate I’ve had and so many memories going back to when we were about five,” he said. “Didn’t matter how long we were apart or what direction our lives were going, ewe would just hit it back off. I’m real upset about what happened my bro, but in a small way I’m glad you went out doing what you loved.”

Mr Otto married his wife Floral in 2014.

His wife simply shared on Facebook “I miss you so much”.

While Mr Otto’s sister said: “I don’t know how to do life without you, give mum a hug for me”.

Ueli Vitale has been friends with Mr Otto for seven years and considered him his “true brother”.

“He is a family man, he put everyone first before himself, he cares for everyone and he is an honest person,” he told the Albert & Logan News.

“He is a very smart man and he’s always happy and he is also a hard worker. The last thing I learn from him is that he would love his kids and his wife forever.

“I miss him so much.”

Friends also shared touching tributes on social media.

One said: “Rest easy my uso. You will be sadly missed but never forgotten. you’re one of the kindest people I’ve met I will miss you USO”.

Another shared: “Life can be so cruel at times. My uso would do anything for anyone.

My prayers are with the Otto family during this difficult time”.

And another shared “My heart is broken”.

“You can be talking, hanging out, chilling with a person and the next day they could be gone,” shared another friend.

“You were taken way too soon uso, heart is heavy right now and missing you. Life can be so unfair.”
