A calculated and co-ordinated series of drug raids across Brisbane’s south has resulted in seven people charged with 100 high-level drug offences including trafficking.
Police video footage showed officers slamming down a door in one property before uncovering green packets of white power in bubble wrap stashed away in a black leather case.
In other footage, police walk past baby walkers and a stroller to get into a room where more white packets of power were found.
The raids, which started on Friday, were designed to put a hole in the methylamphetamine trade and sever links with organised crime gangs in southeast Queensland.
The drug swoop is one of four that has occurred in the Logan District in the past two months and police seized quantities of the drugs during the raids.
Those arrested included a 42-year-old Brisbane man, charged with trafficking in dangerous drugs and possessing and supplying dangerous drugs. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court in November.
A 28-year-old Marsden woman was also charged with trafficking and supplying dangerous drugs and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court in December.
South East Region acting Detective inspector Ian Galpin said police would continue to target meth traffickers as it was Australia’s highest-risk illicit drug.
