Eight Woodridge residents are ready to start new lives after discovering their 30-year-old syndicate, aptly named “Gold”, won division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Logan residents held one of the five division one winning entries across the country in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw 4075.
Each entry won a division one prize of $1,047,835.76.
In addition to scoring division one, the group’s entry also won division three 18 times and division four 45 times, boosting their total win to $1,069,971.71.
The winning syndicate was sold at AUR Express Woodridge, Shop 5, 153-163 Smith Road, Woodridge.
AUR Express Woodridge manager Laraine Hannequin said the syndicate had won plenty of prizes over the years but nothing like this.
“We’ve been running this syndicate every week for around thirty years. We’re incredibly pleased,” she said.
“Five of the eight syndicate members are regulars who have a share every week, and we can’t wait to break the news to them.
“They are all locals and all so deserving, so we are incredibly thrilled.
“We hope the wins continue for our customers.”
Last financial year, Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto created 127 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4075 on Saturday were 11, 18, 1, 17, 42 and 34 while the supplementary numbers were 19 and 43.
