A Crestmead man faced Beenleigh Magistrates Court today after a dramatic arrest police caught on film.
The 31-year-old was held on the ground before he was charged with a range of offences including stealing a car and possessing a taser and restricted drugs.
Police stopped the man after watching a green Subaru sedan travelling east along Beaudesert Nerang Rd on Friday.
Police alleged the Subaru was being driven erratically until it stopped on Beaudesert-Beenleigh Rd in Mundoolun.
Police will allege that during a search of the vehicle they found a taser, a pipe, knuckle dusters, taser cartridges, multiple rounds of ammunition, a folding knife and numerous restricted drugs including Oxazepam, Risperidone and Baclofen.
Police said the Subaru had been stolen from a property in Ashgrove.
