A Logan teenager has landed in court again after allegedly spitting in the face of a police officer at the weekend.
Blake Walter James Stephan, 19, of Regents Park, appeared in custody at Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Monday charged with serious assault of a police officer by biting, spitting etc, and obstructing a police officer.
The court heard Stephan, who works as a full-time turf layer, was arrested after allegedly spitting in the face of a police officer in Logan Central on Saturday, November 27.
Police said he was only about six weeks into a two-year probation order when the offences were allegedly committed.
He was also on bail at the time for allegedly going armed in public.
The court heard Stephan had eight fail-to-appear charges and four breaches of bail conditions in his criminal history.
He was denied bail due to an unacceptable risk to fail to appear, and a risk of committing further offences.
He was remanded in custody until his next appearance on January 19.
