Police prosecutor Seargent Donna Kay told the court police had to deploy tyre stingers to apprehend McIntyre, who works as a floor covering installer, after he’d stolen a car and racked up an estimated $7500 in property damages.

The court heard he also allegedly stole another car on July 28 but the car was later recovered.

Sgt Kay told the court McIntyre had a length criminal history of similar types of offending including unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
