Jobseekers have been given a ray of hope with 890 jobs on offer today at an online fair.
The digital forum will connect jobseekers with local employers in Logan and across the south-east with information about available employment opportunities.
Unemployed people can chat with employers and employment service providers about potential jobs or career pathways at the free event.
There will also be expert workshops to hear about strategies to improve job searches, how to find useful resources to help improve résumés and prepare for interviews.
The Brisbane South East and Logan virtual jobs fair will bring together job seekers and more than 27 local businesses, promoting more than 890 job opportunities available in the south-east Queensland area.
The federal government has held jobs fairs around Australia, with more than 31,500 people attending events over the past two years.
Forde MP Bert van Manen said anyone who needed help getting a job should register and log in.
“Logan’s labour force has a range of skills to meet the demands of businesses big and small,” he said.
“We are a city of big and bold and businesses have the opportunity to take advantage of our unique skillsets.”
