A seafood manufacturing outlet in Scarborough will be transformed into a microbrewery with a bar and restaurant under a new development proposal.

Plans for the waterside venture at Bird O Passage Pde, named Harbour Master Brewery and Functions, were submitted to Moreton Bay Regional Council earlier this week.

Planning documents reveal new seating areas will be created around the building to overlook the marina.

“The brew room at the front of the premise and the new stairway to the Function Facility provides an inviting entrance to the premise,” the documents read.

“The addition of dining areas to the front facade also provides casual interaction between the street and activity within the site.”

The land is currently owned by the Department of Transport and Main Roads.
