BRISBANE’S Maddison Keeney and partner Annabelle Smith have produced a stunning come from behind result to claim an Olympic bronze medal in the women’s synchronised 3m springboard.

The Aussie diving duo arrived in Rio as genuine medal contenders, however, their hopes appeared dashed as at one point dropped to last in the eight team final.

But through incredible poise and mental fortitude the duo stormed home with their final dive, a two and a half, somersault twist pike, delivering a score of 71.10 and their first Olympic medal.
