FINAL touches are being put on a major medical and retail precinct in a northern Brisbane suburb.

Some minor changes to the Monarc Health and Childcare Hub in Everton Park have been lodged to Brisbane City Council but Rogerscorp managing director Simon Rogers says the development is expected to finish next month.

He said 90 per cent of the building’s tenancies had already been filled by businesses.

Stage one of the $155 million project at Woolworths St includes plans for a suite of medical offices and a childcare centre.

Construction started in October last year.

Development consultant Urban Strategies, on behalf of Rogerscorp, have asked Brisbane City Council for the removal of a raised median to allow right turns to be allowed into the precinct.

“The conditioned access arrangement is not practical for the site in terms of traffic operation or commercial viability,” the letter reads.

“Queuing and traffic impact assessments have consistently supported the idea of a right turn into the site.”

Residential towers are expected to be developed at the precinct in due course.

The letter also asks to change the height clearance of three underground car parks and to build an “optional dividing tenancy wall” to split the health care services.

The Monarc project includes plans for four residential towers in future stages that will house about 600 people.

Mr Rogers said the development of the project’s future stages was pending.
