Kickstart your festive season with our ultimate guide to Christmas Carols across southeast Queensland. We’ve compiled a list of more than 70 events and organised them into regions: Brisbane North, Brisbane South, Logan, Moreton and Redlands.

NORTH BRISBANE

ROTARY CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT AND FIREWORK FINALE

Where: Dorrington Park, Mirrabooka Rd, Ashgrove

When: Saturday December 14 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Details: Includes Rocus Big Band, 27-piece Westside Orchestra, Ignite Choir choristers, National Servicemen’s Memorial Band pipes and drums, compered by ABC TV weather presenter Jenny Woodward. Santa arrives early evening. Food, drinks available at North’s Hockey clubhouse. Disabled-friendly covered area.

CAROLS IN THE PARK

Where: West Mitchelton RLF Club

When: December 14 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: A free community event with live music and fun for all with a Santa visit at 7:00pm and fireworks at 8:00pm.

CAROLS SPECTACULAR

Where: Norris Road State School, Greenore St

When: Sunday, December 15 from 4:30pm to 9:00pm

Details: Bracken Ridge Baptist Church hosts its annual carols event with markets start at 4.30pm and carols from 7pm. We have been blessed to see it grow from a few hundred attendees to a few thousand over the last 20 years.

ASPLEY ROTARY CAROLS

Where: Field at Aspley Hornets, 50 Graham Rd

When: Sunday, December 15 from 3.30pm to 6.30pm

Details: There will be a kids disco and face painting followed by carols. Bookings required for bistro at 3263 5522

ISEE CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Where: Brisbane State High School, Free Parking at Southbank Tafe (Enter off Merivale St)

When: Sunday, December 15 from 4pm

Details: Jumping castle, petting zoo and ice cream from 4pm and a carols service at 5:00pm

A NIGHT OF CAROLS

Where: Eatons Hill School Hall, Apex Grove

When: Sunday December 15 from 4:30pm to 7:30pm

Details: Join in the singing or just sit back and listen. The fun starts at 430pm with a barbecue, jumping castles, face painting, petting zoo, gladiator wars and much more.

BRIDGEMAN BAPTIST COMMUNITY CHURCH CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

Where: Bridgeman Baptist, 379 Albany Creek Road, Bridgeman Downs

When: Sunday December 15, Monday December 16 and Tuesday December 17. 5.30pm to 8.30pm each night

Details: Join us at Bridgeman for a Christmas event for the whole family. Walk through the tunnel of lights with over 50,000 led light displays, weave your way through the Christmas tree forest, walk through the Bethlehem walk performance and enjoy a Christmas show that plays hourly. With live music, food and kids areas, it’s an event for everyone.

CHRISTMAS CAROL EXTRAVAGANZA

Where: Merthyr road Uniting Church 52 Merthyr Rd, New Farm

When: Sunday December 15 from 6:00pm

Details: This is a community event filled with fun, entertainment, carol singing and supper. Everyone is welcome to attend.

CHRIST COMMUNITY CAROLS

Where: Oakman Park, Toowong

When: Sunday December 15 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Details: Start off the afternoon with free activities for the kids, grab a bite to eat, then make yourself comfy as we join together to sing our favourite Christmas carols.

ST DAVID’S CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

Where: St David’s Anglican Church, 69 Chelmer St East, Chelmer

When: Saturday December 21 from 6.30pm

Details: A wonderful night of carols, Christmas stalls with homemade goodies and free activities including jumping castle, animal nursery and sausage sizzle.

CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT INDOOROOPILLY

Where: Indooroopilly Uniting Church, 74 Station Rd, Indooroopilly

When: Sunday December 22 from 6:00pm onwards

Details: An evening gathering on the lawn next to the church for their own version of carols by candlelight.

GOOD SHEPHERD CAROLS IN THE PARK

Where: 185 Old Northern Road, Arana Hills

When: Sunday December 22 from 5:00pm

Details: Albany Creek’s premier Christmas event – Carols in the Park – hosted by your friends at Good Shepherd Baptist Church. Enjoy the free activities, fantastic rides, games, free sausage sizzle and of course, a great time singing carols in a brand new weather proof area.

ENOGGERA CHRISTMAS COMMUNITY CAROLS

Where: Enoggera Baptist Church, 143 Samford Rd, Enoggera

When: Sunday December 22 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm

Details: With community Christmas carols, a sausage sizzle, pony rides, animal farm, kids craft activities, glow sticks and a coffee cart, come and join in the fun & festivities on the lawn as we celebrate Christmas together.

EMMANUEL COMMUNITY CAROLS

Where: Emmanuel Uniting Church, 92 Laurel St

When: Sunday December 22 from 4:30pm to 8:00pm

Details: Sing the songs of the Christmas story alongside your family at this event. With arts and crafts, a jumping castle, face painting and food (no eftpos), this carolling event truly is for the whole community.

HILLS CAROLS

Where: Hills Church, 79 Queens Rd, Everton Hills

When: Sunday December 22 from 5:00pm to 8:30pm

Details: Come along and join us as we celebrate Christmas this year with free admission, an animal farm, jumping castle, free barbecue, lots of carols and supper.

SOUTH PINE CAROLS

Where: South Pine Community Church, Warner

When: Sunday December 22 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: Come join the family fun and carols at South Pine Community Church.

GLORY IN THE HIGHEST SAMFORD

Where: Samford Valley Community Church, 44 Mount Glorious Rd, Samford Village

When: Sunday December 22 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: This is a great event for the whole family. Food and drinks will be for sale from 5pm. Bring your friends and family and come early to get your seat.

BRISBANE SOUTH

CHRISTMAS CAROLS AT MORNINGSIDE

Where: Morningside Uniting Church, 43 Thynne Rd

When: Saturday December 14 from 5:00pm

Details: Join the special carol service at Morningside.

OXLEY COMMUNITY CAROLS

Where: Oxley State School Oval, Bannerman Street​

When: Sunday December 15 from 5:00pm

Details: The event will include kid’s activities such as face painting, jumping castle and a farm animal’s petting zoo. A sausage sizzle and drinks van will be on site for purchasing dinner and refreshments. This event is organised by the people of the church, so bring along your best singing voice for a happy occasion with family and friends.

CAROLS SERVICE

Where: Pilgrim Congregational Church, Boundary Rd, Bardon

When: Sunday December 15 from 7:00pm

Details: We wish you all the blessings of Christmas and invite you to our carols service.

CAROLS AT THE COURT

Where: Tennis Court next to the Hall at St Marks Uniting Church, 46 Springwood Street, Mt Gravatt

When: Sunday December 15 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: Come and join with others from the Mt Gravatt community for Christmas Carols on the Tennis Court. Free sausage sizzle and petting zoo. Bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on.

SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS

Where: Corner Melbourne St and Grey St

When: Friday December 20 and Saturday December 21, 2 hour shows

Details: Join us for Spirit of Christmas as we celebrate our 35th festive season with our traditional yuletide concerts in the grandeur of QPAC’s Concert Hall. Tickets at https://www.qpac.com.au/event/spirit_christmas_19/

BAYSIDE CAROLS

Where: George Clayton Park, Manly

When: Friday December 20 and Saturday December 21, 2 hour shows

Details: There will be food and beverages for sale, rides for the kids, face-painting, on-stage entertainment and craft stall traders. Bring a blanket or chairs and enjoy an evening of traditional carols and contemporary Christmas songs.

CAROLS SHOW

Where: Springlake Hotel Function Center

When: Sunday December 22 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm

Details: Enjoy the one hour carols show starting at 5:00pm as well as the pre-entertainment including a balloon artist for the kids and purchasable drinks and sweets.

LOGAN

CITY OF LOGAN CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Where: Griffith University Logan Campus, 68 University Dr, Meadowbrook

When: Saturday December 14 from 4:30pm

Details: Come along for your all-time favourite Christmas Carols, pop up food trucks serving delicious food, and other amazing performances! Bring along a rug and/or camp chair for your picnic setting and enjoy a festive evening with family and friends at this year’s City of Logan Christmas Carols.

TWILIGHT IN THE PARK CHRISTMAS SPECIAL

Where: Underwood Park, 982-1006 Underwood Rd, Priestdale

When: Friday December 20 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm

Details: With a variety of Christmas stalls, handmade, boutique and specialty stalls, food trucks, a bar, Christmas carols, a Santa visit and kids entertainment - it’s a perfect family event.

CHRISTMAS IN THE CHURCH

Where: St George’s Anglican, 10 Tansey St, 10 Tansey St, Beenleigh

When: Saturday December 21 from 5:00pm

Details: Christmas party. The afternoon will begin with a barbecue, BYO drinks and chat. This will be followed by a time of praise and worship, singing, plays dancing and other pop up events.

CHRISTMAS CAROLS AND FIREWORKS

Where: Saturday December 21 from 5:00pm

When: Sunday December 22 from 4:00pm to 8:30pm

Details: Enjoy a fun, free family event with entertainment, food, carols and fireworks. All are welcome.

MORETON

PINE RIVERS PARK CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Where: Pine Rivers Park, Gympie Road, Strathpine

When: Sunday December 15 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: Sit back, relax, and join in the carolling fun with local community groups, schools, and a marquee carolling performance from 3pm. Don’t miss meeting Santa at Santa’s Village or visiting the Giant Snow Globe and Christmas tree. Markets, rides, and food are on sale for all.

TOORBUL CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Where: Toorbul Community Hall

When: Tuesday December 17 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Details: Join the charming carolling event and bring you kids for their chance to meet Santa himself.

CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL

Where: Sandstone Point Hotel, 1800 Bribie Island Road

When: Saturday December 21 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: With markets, food stalls, kids rides, live music, entertainment, Christmas carols, fireworks and of course a visit from Santa! Starting from 12 noon celebrate the silly season, Aussie style with a day on the waterfront followed by a not so silent night singing to your favourite Christmas jams. Tickets are $2-5 here.

CAROLS ON THE LAWN

Where: Anglican Parish of Caboolture, 165 King Street

When: Sunday December 22 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm)

Details: Join on the lawn of St. Laurence’s for the very popular Carols on the Lawn. With a free animal farm, Christmas crafts and sausage sizzle, it’s a great activity for the whole family. Bring a chair or a rug and sit on the lawn.

THE SHED COMMUNITY CAROLS

Where: The Shed Australia, 12 Ruatoka Court, Burpengary

When: Sunday December 22 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm

Details: Food, free face painting, petting zoo, jumping castles plus lots of prizes and giveaways. Carols kick off at 6:00pm.

REDLANDS

REDLANDS WHITE CHRISTMAS

Where: Redland Performing Arts Centre, Middle Street, Cleveland

When: Friday December 13 and Saturday December 14

Details: The Redland City Choir proudly presents the popular Redlands White Christmas concert, with beautiful sing-a-long carols for the whole family to enjoy. This family-friendly show is filled with fun, beauty and musical moments of splendour. Be mesmerised by their talented solo guest artists and fall in love with their children’s choirs as they share the joy of Christmas song with you. You can book your tickets in person at RPAC Box Office or by phone or online. Tickets $25 to $30.

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS SPARKLE

Where: Redlands Community Centre; 29 Loraine Street, Capalaba

When: Saturday December 14 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Details: A fun morning tea were citizens give back by sending to with seniors at Redland Community Centre; the will be carols, games, and families are asked to bring gifts for children to give to the elderly.

CHRISTMAS BY STARLIGHT

Where: Norm Price Park, Redland Showgrounds, Long St Cleveland

When: December 14 from 4pm

Details: The all-age family friendly event will begin with an afternoon of free children’s activities, roving entertainment, rides and face painting. Plenty of food trucks and merchandise stalls will be on offer by local not-for-profit community groups and licensed commercial operators.

FAMILY CHRISTMAS SERVICE

Where: Gateway Baptist Church; 126 Link Road, Victoria Point

When: Sunday December 15th from 10:00am to 11:30am

Details: Friends and family are well for a Christmas service with carols, food and fun for children.

THE GRINCH PERFORMANCE

Where: Dunamis Church, 3791 Pacific Hwy, Tanah Merah

When: Sunday December 15 from 6:00pm onwards

Details: Enjoy a well-thought performance of the Grinch musical at Dunamis Church.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CAROLS

Where: Redland Bay Uniting Church, 230 Gordon Road, Redland Bay

When: Friday December 20 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm

Details: We’ll have a sausage sizzle from 6pm and carols from 7.30pm. Just come and enjoy the food, friendship and festive season together. Bring picnic rugs and chairs!
