Beenleigh and Gold Coast train lines are expected to be delayed by up to an hour after a train and van collided at a level crossing in Rocklea this morning.
A Queensland Rail spokesperson said the train ‘nudged’ a small van, which had allegedly entered a level crossing while it was activated about 11.30 this morning.
There were no reported injuries and police have issued a fine to the driver of the vehicle.
Services are suspended between Coopers Plains and Yeerongpilly, but rail replacement buses are operating.
The Rail Response Operations Unit is on scene to assess the state of the line and ensure it is safe for operations to resume.
