Two repeat Moreton Bay top NAPLAN achievers have done it again in 2024

Genesis Christian College and The Lakes College are the City of Moreton Bay’s top-performing NAPLAN schools in 2024.

An independent analysis of newly-released 2024 NAPLAN results has revealed the schools which performed the best in the Year 5 and Year 9 tests.

The Lakes College, in North Lakes, a regular top performer, had the best primary results of any school in the region, scoring an average of 529.4.

Caboolture Montessori School was the second best for the region with an average score of 515.8, while All Saints Primary School in Albany Creek was the third best with an average score of 511.6.

The top performing secondary school was Genesis Christian College, in Bray Park, where the average result was 595.8.

Mueller College in Rothwell, another regular name in the top 10, was the second best for the region with an average score of 589.2.

The Lakes College in North Lakes, also a regular over-achiever, was the third best with an average score of 584.4.

To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (Yr 5 or Yr 9) were combined and the average found.

Special schools, schools with fewer than 20 students enrolled, and schools that did not report any results for NAPLAN subjects were excluded from the analysis.

The figures were independently compiled from the Federal Government’s MySchool website.
