School leaders are being warned to expect delayed access to ATAR results for Queensland’s class of 2023.

Multiple schools have been told by the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre that they may not be able to see their Year 12 students’ ATAR results until three hours later than previous years.

Individual students will not be impacted, expected to be able to access their results from 8.30am next Friday, December 15.

But schools have told The Courier-Mail QTAC warned them to not expect to be able to see their Year 12 students’ ATAR results until 2pm next Friday.

In previous years, all schools have been able to see their students’ ATAR results by around 11am, meaning a delay of up to three hours is on the cards.

The schools told The Courier-Mail no clear explanation was provided regarding the delay, though one did say the were told unspecified “technical difficulties” were involved.

However, QTAC has told The Courier-Mail no delays are anticipated with this year’s release.

“QTAC is on track to deliver ATARs to students at 8.30am on Friday, December 15,” a QTAC spokeswoman said.

“Consistent with previous years, schools will have access to ATAR results (for those students that have provided their consent), at around midday.

“QTAC is not experiencing any technical issues and we don’t anticipate any delays in the delivery of ATAR.”
