A man is fighting for life after a car and a motorbike collided in Brisbane’s west this morning.
Emergency services were called to Waterworks Rd at The Gap just before 8am to reports a motorcycle and a car had collided.
A man was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said the man sustained arm injuries.
Lanes were reducedinbound and motorists are advised to expect delays and urged to avoid the area.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said on arrival multiple people were around the rider and was laying on the ground.
“He was conscious and breathing,” a spokeswoman said.
The female driver of the car had declined assessment.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash, and is appealing to anyone with information, including dashcam vision, to come forward.
