They may not command the highest prices, but they are the heavy-lifters of the Sunshine Coast property market.
The inaugural list of Queensland’s top selling agents has been revealed, ranking the agents from across the state who have sold the most property in the past year.
And on the Sunshine Coast, it is the quiet achievers hustling and closing the most deals.
Keyline Realty took top spot, selling 71 properties in the 12 months to the end of March.
Led by principal Andrew Hicks, the small but might team of eight services Nambour, Yandina, Woombye, Palmwoods, and surrounds.
Opening its doors over four decades ago, the hinterland family business, founded by director Ron Hicks, was taken over by Ron’s son Andrew, who left behind a successful career in nursing and pharmaceutical sales.
His daughter Holly is also on the sales team.
In close second was Cassi Nuske of Mcgrath Estate Agents Coast and Hinterland with 70 sales.
Cassi specialises in Glass House Mountains, Beerwah, Peachester, Landsborough, Mooloolah Valley and Glenview, and has called the hinterland home since 2002.
Ray White Buderim’s Greg Ward sealed 59 deals to earn third spot on the Sunshine Coast’s biggest sellers list, having risen from personal assistant to one of the top achievers in the entire Ray White network.
While the other kids were at the beach, Greg was doing work experience at 14 at a Buderim real estate.
In fourth place with 58 sales is Louis D’Espagnac of Coronis.
The veteran agent with 29 years experience has a median sales price of $1.2 million, and specialises in Pelican Waters.
He started his career in the UK before moving to Australia.
Closing out the Sunshine Coast’s top five most prolific sellers is Century 21 Grant Smith Property director and auctioneer Grant Smith with 55 sales.
He began his career as a marketing and advertising consultant as a school based trainee at only 14 years of age, before stepping into the sales field.
