Several multimillion dollar beachfront penthouses have been snapped up within days of hitting the market in a new Sunshine Coast beachside estate.

Sunshine Coast developer Cube Developments advertised six penthouses earlier this month, worth more than $22m in total, as part of its $75m, six-storey residential development, Oasis, along Kombi Street, Bokarina.

Cube Developments director Scott Juniper said three of the penthouses – which totalled $10.9m – were snapped up within 10 days of putting them on the market.

“We’ve had massive interest in them,” he said.

The beach-style, two-level penthouses range from $3.3m to $4.6m each, boasting a spacious, modern design with timber floors, fireplaces, private pools, and rooftop terraces.

Mr Juniper said lifestyle, quality finishes and the rare opportunity for unimpeded ocean views had triggered the interest.

“There aren’t many opportunities with ocean views,” he said.

He said his penthouses – which he called “sky homes” because of their giant size at up to 242sq m – were unique because they allowed residents to enjoy an indoor and outdoor lifestyle without leaving their front door.

“It’s pretty amazing really,” he said.

He said the remaining penthouses, with price tags of $3.3m, $3.3m, and $4.6m, were expected to sell within the next month.

He said most of the buyers of his 56-apartment complex, Oasis, had a connection with the Sunshine Coast, but others were from overseas or outer cities, such as Sydney or Melbourne.

Down the line, Mr Juniper said he had new projects in mind but was currently focused on filling up the remaining apartments, with only six left.

The penthouse rush comes as latest data reveals several Sunshine Coast suburbs have emerged as bankers during the current spree of interest rate rises.

Palmview, Peregian Beach and Noosa suburbs of Noosa Heads and Sunshine Beach had all emerged as the Coast’s most profitable since March.
