From stunning acreage masterpieces to enviable coastal homes, the stunning creations of Mackay and Whitsundays builders were celebrated at the 2021 Housing and Construction Awards.

Urban Trend Construction swept the pool with six gongs including all three awards in the Specialty category.

The team took out the coveted house of the year title, as well as best individual home $950,000 up to $1.25m and best residential swimming pool all for the stunning Indochine House at Erakala.

Urban Trend Construction bagged a second hat-trick for their work on White House at Slade Point, winning best home renovation/remodelling project over $1m, best residential bathroom and best residential kitchen.

Fergus Builders also nabbed six awards including Education Facilities up to $10m for Holy Spirit College at Mount Pleasant.

Hotondo Homes Mackay also set the bar high by winning four awards, notably the prestigious president’s award for Marcoola 209, a modern and sophisticated home at Shoal Point.

Leith Mitchell Builder was a triple treat taking home best individual home from $750,000 up to $950,000, best use of sloping sites and best use of steel frame housing for botanica.

While Woollam Constructions claimed the hotly contested project of the year award for Ozcare Mackay, which also won the Award for best Community Accommodation for Aged Care and Nursing Homes.

Master Builders Mackay and Whitsundays regional manager Malcolm Hull congratulated the winners across all 39 categories announced at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre Saturday night.
