As Los Angeles County enters a week of battling wildfires, California Governor Gavin Newsom vowed the city would rebuild from the devastation, saying there would be a “Marshall Plan” - a reference to the US support that put Europe back on its feet after World War II.
“We already have a team looking at reimagining L.A. 2.0,” he said, after telling NBC the fires could be the worst natural disaster in US history.
Some people will have treasured items incinerated in the blaze replaced.

But it’s not over: the destructive Santa Ana winds are scheduled to pick up again on Monday night with the National Weather Service delaring a Particularly Dangerous Situation (PDS) for the County.
