Schapelle Corby’s brother and boyfriend play bizarre prank on Bali media

SCHAPELLE Corby is about to get her freedom but it’s her brother and boyfriend going stir crazy, playing a bizarre prank on Bali media.

Mercedes says leave Schapelle alone as she is sick of the media

SCHAPELLE Corby’s brother and boyfriend have not lost their sense of humour, laughing uproariously after playing a prank on the media outside their Kuta home.

Donning a brightly coloured dress, a horror mask with long grey hair and a women’s scarf around his shoulders, Michael Corby rode out of the family’s Kuta home on the back of Ben Panangian’s scooter.

The pair continued further up the laneway before making a U-turn, back towards the media pack.

Michael then jumped off the back of the scooter and, standing in the middle of the quiet street, took two oranges out of his dress which had been used to simulate breasts.

Ben waited next to him, wearing a scarf to cover his face, a helmet and a dark jacket.

In a “gotcha moment”, Michael laughed with gusto as he took off his witch mask and the men returned back inside the house.

Michael is renowned for donning strange masks and earlier in the week appeared in a different mask.

Earlier today, Ben became annoyed when approached at Kelan Beach where he teaches stand-up paddle boarding, saying he did not wish to comment.

The lighthearted prank comes as tensions between the Corbys and the media heighten, with just five days before Schapelle’s sentence ends and she is deported home to Australia.

Late on Saturday, a furious Mercedes Corby stuck a handwritten note onto the gate of their Kuta home, pleading with media to stop invading their privacy. She said in the note that Immigration authorities had been informed.

it followed an incident earlier in the day when a crew from Channel 9’s A Current Affair approached the home and held a GoPro camera on a long pole at the fence line.

The incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the home and the vision was later released on social media.

The Corby family now argues that 39-year-old Schapelle has become a virtual prisoner in her own home, so paranoid and afraid is she of going outside and being photographed.

Last week officials from the parole board visited Corby at the home to check on her welfare. She pleaded with them to help her, telling them she was afraid and sick.

Meetings are expected this week to iron out final details of Schapelle’s long-awaited return to Australia.
