Trump: Israel will restart Gaza war 'when I say the word'

Donald Trump hasn’t ruled out allowing Israel to resume military action in Gaza, as Hamas hands over the final two dead hostages in their possession stating the other 19 can’t be retrieved.

Palestinians struggle as they have 'no food, no housing' in Gaza City

Donald Trump has warned Israel will restart the war in Gaza “as soon as I say the word” unless Hamas uphold the terms of the ceasefire he helped broker.

Hamas has released two more dead hostages, bringing it to a total of nine bodies handed over in recent days.

However the militant group has indicated they will be the final two as they are the last “that it was able to reach.”

It brings the total to nine returned dead hostages with another 19 bodies still outstanding.

“What’s going on with Hamas - that’ll be straightened out quickly,” Mr Trump told CNN.

“Israel will return to those streets as soon as I say the word,” he added.

“If Israel could go in and knock the crap (out) of them, they’d do that. I had to hold them back.”
