Stormy Daniels has broken her silence after Donald Trump’s guilty hush-money verdict and called for him to be locked up.
The former adult film star demanded Mr Trump face jail time and warned that he is “completely and utterly out of touch with reality”, suggesting he should be the “volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter”.
In her first interview since the ruling, Ms Daniels told The Sunday Mirror: “I think he should be sentenced to jail and some community service working for the less fortunate, or being the volunteer punching bag at a women’s shelter.”
The former US president was found guilty of falsifying 34 business records to cover up a $US130,000 hush money payment to Ms Daniels, silencing her claim that they had a brief affair on the eve of the 2016 presidential election.
During the trial, Ms Daniels testified that she and Mr Trump had a sexual encounter in 2006 at a Lake Tahoe hotel room after the pair first met at a celebrity golf tournament.
The jury was told that she hit Mr Trump’s backside with a rolled-up magazine before having unprotected sex with him.
Mr Trump has denied both the affair and the act of using his funds to pay off Ms Daniels.
Ms Daniels said she was “shocked” but vindicated after the jury at a New York court convicted Mr Trump, but told how she cannot escape death threats from Mr Trump’s supporters.
“You always feel like you’re the bad guy, even when you’re not just being up on that standard,” she told The Sunday Mirror.
“Being in court was so intimidating with the jurors looking at you but I’m glad that the stuff came out in court that wanted to come out and prove, like I said, I’ve been telling the truth the entire time.
“It’s not over for me. It’s never going to be over for me. Trump may be guilty, but I still have to live with the legacy.”
