Former aide to Donald Trump reveals cruel stunt he used to pull to ‘clean up the streets’

A man who worked closely with Donald Trump for years has dropped a tone-deaf video explaining a cruel stunt he wants to pull on homeless people.

A former aide to Donald Trump has been smashed online after sharing a controversial video claiming he distributed fake money to homeless people who thought they were getting a win.

Johnny McEntee, 34, boasted that his stunt was actually cleaning up the community because they would be arrested and hauled off when they attempted to use counterfeit money.

The tone-deaf video received widespread criticism for being cruel and promoting illegal activities like distributing counterfeit currency, which is a federal crime in the US, regardless of the context.

“So I always keep this fake Hollywood money in my car. So when a homeless person asks for money, I give them a fake $5 bill so I feel good about myself (and) they feel good,” he said.

“And then, when they go to use it, they get arrested. So I’m actually, like, helping clean up the community, you know? Getting them off the street.”

He has since updated the title of the video to “Just a joke. Everyone calm down”.

But abuse continues to rain down on social media, with the Trump loyalist being described as “pure evil” on more than a few occasions by people fed up with shameless displays of arrogance online.

Several cities in the US are currently experiencing a homeless epidemic, as cost of living pressures continue to eradicate the working class and push more and more regular taxpayers to the street.

For many, seeing a somewhat high-profile political figure making Patrick Bateman-esque jokes about baiting homeless people during an economic crisis was a ship too far.

“This can’t be legal. He is intentionally injecting counterfeit bills into circulation. Doesn’t matter if he trades it for something or gives it as a gift. What’s the charge for tricking someone into committing a crime so they’ll be arrested?” one viewer wrote.

But some saw the humour and even admitted they would try pulling the stunt themselves.

“Also you help them find a place to stay and free food, good job!” one said.

McEntee, who was Trump’s personal assistant during his presidency, is still involved in right-wing political activities and runs a dating app specifically for conservatives.

He was dismissed by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly in March 2018 after failing a background check, which found he was under investigation by the Department of Homeland Security over debt-related issues from gambling.

He now acts as a senior adviser to the controversial Project 2025 group, which claims to rid Washington of corrupt politicians.

Project 2025’s agenda includes radical changes such as replacing federal public servants deemed part of the “deep state” with loyal conservatives, dismantling major government departments, and pushing for bans on abortion and pornography.

His tenure in the Trump administration included efforts to withdraw US troops from multiple international posts by the end of Trump’s presidency, and he played a role in the removal and replacement of the Defense Secretary.

A forged document related to troop withdrawal created by McEntee led to internal conflict and was eventually dismissed by Trump after senior officials explained the need for a proper policy process.

During the January 6 commission’s investigation, McEntee acknowledged the unusual nature of a personnel office drafting military orders.

He now spends his time uploading political hot-takes to TikTok while eating fast food.
