Donald Trump’s lavish Scottish golf resort has been vandalised by pro-Palestinian protesters after they scrawled messages including ‘Gaza is not for sale’ across the world-class venue’s fairway.

Red paint has been used by the protesters to smear swear words and slogans across the US president’s exclusive golf course on the Scottish west coast in the early hours of Saturday morning (Saturday evening AEDT).

The clubhouse and several parts of the course were vandalised including some golf holes which were dug up.

Activist group Palestine Action posted on X after the attack: “Palestine Action struck overnight to wreck the ‘Trump Turnberry’ golf course in response to the American administration’s plans and threats to destroy, ethnically cleanse, and ‘take over’ the Palestinian Gaza Strip”.

Photos of the graffiti were published across the world and in the UK press including The Sun.

Last month Mr Trump claimed the war-torn area could be made into the “Riviera of the Middle East” and Palestinians should be forced out so that the area could be reconstructed.

In recent days Mr Trump has hit out at terrorist group Hamas and given them a “last warning” to release the remaining hostages held in Gaza.

“I am sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job, not a single Hamas member will be safe if you don’t do as I say,” Mr Trump said in a lengthy post on his Truth Social platform.

He also wrote: “This is your last warning! For the leadership, now is the time to leave Gaza, while you still have a chance.

“Also, to the people of Gaza: A beautiful future awaits, but not if you hold hostages”.

A Palestine Action group spokesperson said in a statement published on its website: “Palestine Action rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.

“To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance.

“We will continue to take action against US-Israeli colonialism in the Palestinian homeland.”

The prestigious links course is among the world’s top 10 golf courses – Mr Trump purchased the famous facility in South Ayrshire in 2014.

Scottish media reports said a Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that, “Around 4.40am on Saturday, 8 March, 2025, we received a report of damage to the golf course and a premises on Maidens Road, Turnberry.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0636 of 8 March, 2025”.
