Race 1 – Maiden Plate (950m)
Mission Road for trainer Peter Rowe and jockey Bonnie Thomson:
“I said to Bonnie to try and get the best cover you can,” Rowe said as the filly drew out wide. “We put the blinkers back on, she worked really in during the week. I was pretty confident.”

Race 2 – QTIS Two-Years-Old and Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap (1250m)
Stolen Diamonds for trainer Liliana McCormack and jockey Graham Kliese:
“We decided to come here today with the jockey because it would suit a bit more with the distance,” McCormack said. “It worked a trick. It has been a while since I have had a winner so I am very happy.”
Race 3 – Class 6 Plate (950m)
Full Recognition for trainer Stephen Massingham and jockey Chris Whiteley:
“He is a nice horse,” said Massingham. “There is a Class 6 Plate at Townsville over 1000m in a few weeks we will now look towards with him.”
Race 4 – Ratings Band 0 – 58 Handicap (950m)
Tawhiri for trainer Leslie Gordy and jockey Graham Kliese:
“He’s always shown a lot of promise,” Gordy said. “He has had issues and we have finally got him right. I think we’ll have some more fun with him now.”
Race 5 – Lou Piccone Memorial Ratings Band 0 – 55 Handicap (1250m)
Roth’N’Bell for trainer Ray Moller and jockey Pietro Romeo:
“When I rode him at Atherton last start, Ray thought he was a little underdone so we rode him quiet,” Romeo said.
“He attacked the line well. I was just hoping there was enough speed on today.”
Race 6 – Benchmark 72 Handicap (1250m)
Bold Type for trainer Stephen Massingham and jockey Chris Whiteley:
“He had never been past 1100m in his life before today, so I said to Chris, let’s just try him at 1250m and see how he goes,” Massingham said. “I told Chris to ride him how he wants. He’s still overrated a little but has some ability and showed a nice turn of foot.”
Race 7 – Benchmark 69 Handicap (1500m)
Brilliant Mind for trainer Stephen Massingham and jockey Nathan Day:
“I did not expect him to be where he was but they (went) hard,” Massingham said. “He over-raced a little bit, but he’s got a fair bit of good in him.”
Race 8 – Open Handicap (1900m)
Rock Spur for trainer Allan Paterson and jockey Stephen Wilson:
“He had a good run 1500m last start so I was pretty confident coming here,” Wilson said.
