Man charged with murder after 65-year-old found dead at Maylands home

A man has been charged with murder after a 65-year-old was found dead inside his inner-city Perth home.

A man has been charged with murder after homicide squad detectives found a person dead inside his Maylands home last Wednesday.

Police were called to the Guildford Rd address in Perth’s inner suburbs just before 8.40pm on September 1 and discovered the dead 65-year-old man.

A 60-year-old man from Midland was arrested on Sunday and his residence searched.

The man was charged with one count of murder.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court later on Monday.

WA Police said detectives would like to speak with anyone who was in the vicinity of Guilford Rd and Peninsula Rd on Tuesday August 24 between 6.30am and 10.30am.
