A passenger train has collided with a car in North Geelong.
The vehicle broke down on the level crossing about 8pm on Saturday night.
It is understood that a woman’s vehicle failed on the Station Street in North Shore train tracks, forcing her to flee to safety.
Shortly after the passenger train struck the vehicle.
Authorities said no one was injured during the collision.
A photo of the dramatic scene shows the car tilted on its side as emergency service workers assess the damage.
Coaches are replacing trains between Lara and Waurn Ponds due to the accident.
Travellers are being warned of delays of up to 90 minutes.
It comes just two days after a V/Line freight train derailed in North Geelong.
The accident, on Thursday, caused disruptions on the Separation St level crossing.
A number of the freight train’s wagons derailed, but remained upright.
No injuries were reported.
