Victoria bushfires: Four fires burning, Grampians residents told it’s too late to leave
Residents in multiple Grampians towns have been urged to take shelter as a matter of survival as firefighters battle an “uncontrollable” bushfire.
Multiple out of control bushfires are wreaking havoc across the state as firefighters battle sweltering temperatures and dangerous winds while grappling the blazes.
Emergency services are most concerned about a hellish bushfire at the Grampians National Park, predicted to burn for weeks on end.
Residents in the line of the fire have been issued emergency warnings to evacuate, while afternoon wind gusts in excess of 90km/h are expected to worsen conditions.
