Seymour dad Aaron Grant allegedly stabbed to death after fight with neighbour

The man killed in a stabbing in Victoria’s north on Saturday has been identified as a local father.

The identity of a man killed in a stabbing in Victoria’s north on Saturday has been revealed.

Seymour resident and father Aaron Grant, 28, was allegedly stabbed in the chest during a fight with a neighbour on Heywood Crescent just before 3am.

Mr Grant was rushed to hospital, but died shortly after.

Police confirmed a 41-year-old man handed himself in at the Seymour Police Station hours later.

He is being questioned by Homicide Squad detectives.

Tributes to Mr Grant began appearing on social media on Saturday afternoon.

One mother posted: “Regardless of the situation and the person he was, he didn’t deserve this and neither did his kids who will never have a chance to know him as they grow and get older.

“My heart goes out to the family.”

It is understood Mr Grant’s residence has been visited by police on multiple occasions prior to Saturday’s dispute.

Police are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
