Two dead, three flee for lives after fires at Langwarrin and Frankston

Two people are dead while another three have been forced to escape separate house fires that have broke out in Melbourne’s southeast.

A house fire in Melbourne’s southeast has claimed the life and a yet-to-be identified person.

Emergency services were called to a property on Lyppards Rd in Langwarrin just after 2am on Friday.

Three of the property’s occupants managed to escape the blaze with no injuries.

A fourth person was found dead inside a bungalow at the back of the residence.

An arson chemist is set to attend the scene on Friday.

The cause of the blaze is still yet to be identified.

In a separate deadly blaze, a person died after a unit became engulfed in flames in Frankston on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency Crews responded to reports of a property on fire on Franklin Court around 4pm, arriving to find a body inside the burnt unit.

The victim is yet to be identified, and the exact circumstances surrounding the fire are yet to be established.

No one else was injured in the blaze.
