Three teenagers have been charged after being tracked by the police Air Wing travelling across Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs in an allegedly stolen car.

A 14-year-old is among three teenagers to have been charged following a high-speed pursuit across Melbourne’s southeast.

Police officers spotted an allegedly stolen Holden Astra on Bald Hill Rd in Pakenham in the early hours of Wednesday morning and followed it in what became a high-speed pursuit.

The Astra reached high speeds travelling down the Monash Freeway, with the police Air Wing tracking the car as it made its way on to the Nepean Highway.

Stop sticks were successfully deployed in Brighton East with the car coming to a stop a short time later on Glenhuntly Rd in Elwood.

Four teenagers were arrested by the Dog Squad with footage revealing the moment officers closed in on them.

A 14-year-old has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, theft from a motor vehicle and reckless conduct.

The boy has been remanded in custody and will appear at a children’s court at a later date.

A 15-year-old girl has been released on bail, after being charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possessing cannabis.

An 18-year-old woman was also released on bail after being charged with theft of a motor vehicle and is expected to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in July.

The fourth teenager arrested on Wednesday morning was issued a caution by police and released.

Police are still searching for another person allegedly involved in the pursuit and the investigation remains ongoing.
