Four teenagers have been arrested after a 16-year-old girl was stabbed on a train in Melbourne’s north
Police allege the girl was stabbed by a 15-year-old girl while travelling on a train in Coburg North on Monday night.
Emergency services were called to Batman Railway Station around 8.40pm following reports of a stabbing.
The four teens were arrested nearby shortly after the incident.
A knife, believed to have been used in the attack, was recovered after being dumped by the teens.
A 15-year-old girl was charged with a number of offences including assault with a weapon.
She has been bailed to face a children’s court at a later date.
Three other teens — a 14-year-old boy, a 14-year-old girl, and a 16-year-old boy — were released and are expected to be charged on summons.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
